Crafted to Last

Every photograph is produced using processes chosen for their beauty, permanence, and fidelity to the original image.

Most of my editions are created as Digital C-Type prints, a traditional photographic process that exposes light-sensitive silver halide paper using precisely controlled light before it is chemically developed. Descended directly from the darkroom, this method produces exceptional tonal subtlety, rich blacks, and smooth transitions that perfectly complement my black and white work.

Alongside these, I offer selected images as Platinum Palladium prints. Each print is handcrafted by coating fine cotton rag paper with a light-sensitive solution containing platinum and palladium before being contact printed under ultraviolet light. Rather than sitting on the surface, the image becomes embedded within the fibres of the paper itself, creating a beautifully matte finish, remarkable tonal depth, and extraordinary permanence. Properly cared for, Platinum Palladium prints are expected to endure for centuries.

The Platinum Palladium process is significantly more labour-intensive and costly than conventional photographic printing, but the result is unlike any other. Every print is individually made by hand, making each one a unique expression of the photograph and of the craft itself.
