Worship

Yes, your eyes do not deceive you, I am playing with colour for this project. With this body of work I delve into the intimate relationship between individuals and the artifacts they amass, with a particular focus on the nostalgic allure of vinyl records. Central to this collection is the portrayal of a sensual female figure, gracefully reclined over her curated vinyl collection. This visual metaphor encapsulates the tenderness with which we handle our prized possessions. The choice of a female subject adds an additional layer, symbolizing the nurturing quality of music, which often becomes a source of solace, passion, and empowerment.

It is an exploration of the intersection between passion, identity, and the tangible tokens that shape our personal narratives. Through my lens, the vinyl collection becomes a locus of reverence, where the act of worshiping transcends the boundaries of music and encompasses the broader human experience.

This project will be expanded to include books, films and other artefacts we share our narrative with. The first and second shots here include several hundred of my own vinyl collection.

No vinyl was harmed in the making of this project
